Abstract

Moderation is a core teaching of the Islamic religion. Moderate islam is a religious understanding that is very relevant in the context of diversity in all aspects, including religion, costoms, ethnicity and the nation it self. Therefore, the understanding religion must be moderate because Indonesia has many cultures, culture and customs. Meanwhile, the method used namely Service-Learning (SL) or Experiential Learning introduced by John Dewey as a field learning model. The aim of this SL learning model is to train servants to have knowledge about real situations in society and the ability to overcome them as well as to form character, especially so that they have an awareness of cimpasion or caring. Towards the weak and marginalized (preferential option for the poor). STAI Hubbulwathan Duri community service program is results-orieted. Outoome is the functioning of the output or in other than the direct beneficiaries in  the field. Therefore, systematically, the outcome is a planned continuation of the output in the same project structure. The outcome of the service program is at least in the form of scientific publications on community service activities carried out by STAI Hubbulwathan Duri. Intellectual property rights (HKI) by STAI Hubbulwathan Duri lecturers, Knowledge of community service among universities. Collaboration partners are established between stakeholders in the community engagement.
